Well, here we are almost 3 weeks after the BIG day...

... and all we can say is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! We were so amazed at all the love that we were shown, and continue to be shown. We are truely blessed with amazing family and friends.

We had a wonderful time in Gatlinburg. The weather was prefect all week. The Smokey Mountain National Forrest was unbelieveably beautiful! We also drove over to Ashville, NC and toured the Biltmore Estate, which was amazing! It was just a perfect week.

And to answer the question... Married life is treating us well! We are just getting into the groove of things. We thought that after the wedding things would settle down... but now we know that isn't going to happen! Lol :)

So, now Christmas is right around the corner. We are looking forward to our first Christmas as husband and wife :) Hopefully we will get to see most of our family and friends again at some point during the holidays.

Well here we are about 50 hours away!!

Well, the last day at work for awhile and all I can think about is... Did I get that done? Did I buy that? Did I pick that up? Do I need to call and check on that?

And no, I am not really nervous... just hope I don't forget anything... and if I do, I just hope it isn't something big! Lol

So here are a few random thoughts....

- If you are picking up your tux, they are open tomorrow from 9-5, and they open Saturday at 9am ... The more people that can get them Friday the better.

- All of the Bridal Party needs to be at the church ready to take pictures at 11am Saturday Morning.

(here is a big one)

PARKING
Because the church is downtown, it does not have a parking lot. However, there is plenty of parking close by. There is parking along the street all around the courthouse square and along the front and side of the church. There is a Regions bank on the north side of the church. We can use their parking lot but please park as far away from the bank as possible as to not block their customers using the ATM and such. Also, one block south of the church there is a large parking lot in front of JB Outdoors and Pizza Grocery. It is only a block away. If you have any questions, call me.

Directions to the church

WSCC is located at 702 East Waldron Street in downtown Corinth. From Highway 72 take Cass Street into the downtown area. Make a left turn onto Waldron Street. The church is located on the corner of Waldron and Taylor Street. It is right across from the courthouse so it should be easy to find.

If you get lost or for some reason need it, the church's number is 662-286-5473

Less than a month away!!

Well... Here we are less than a month away!! The question we are getting almost everyday is, "Are you nervous yet?" And I can truely say no... we are not. Now there are some moments when we get concerned about one detail or another, but as a whole we are excited! It is a new chapter in our relationship and that day will be a celebration of our covenant we have made with each other and God.... We are EXCITED!!

We have had several WONDERFUL showers! Thank you all so much for the great gifts. They are a true blessing and will be put to good use! :)

If you are coming from out of town and will be staying over night please book your room as soon as possible. Scroll down to a previous post for the info. The rooms will be blocked out for us until the end of this month (about another week).

Also, if you are a groomsman and you have not yet been measured, you are running behind! :) Please do this as soon as possible so they will have a tux reserved for you.

Invitations to the wedding and rehearsal dinner are going out very soon. Our Moms are working very hard on this. We are VERY VERY thankful to our moms for all the hard work they have put into this just to be a blessing to us!!

For those traveling...

For those who are traveling, which we know will be a bunch of you, we have scoped out the hotel situation. We found two very nice options just a short drive from the church. We have talked to the managers at both places and if you let them know that you are with the King/Ray wedding party, they will give you a special rate!

1) Hampton Inn
2107 Hwy 72 West
Corinth, MS 38834
662-286-5949
Manager: Caroline Butler
Rate: $84.00 per night + tax

Hampton Inn appears to be new construction and has a modern look to it. I think it has the bigger breakfast bar of the two.

2) Holiday Inn Express
2106 Hwy 72 West
Corinth, MS 38834
662-287-1407
Manager: Barbara Wilbanks
Rate: $88.00 per night + tax

Holiday Inn Express is newly remodeled. It has a pretty swanky lobby and a nice breakfast as well. It shares a parking lot with Ruby Tuesday's.

As you can see by the addresses, they are right across the street from each other. They are on Hwy 72 @ Hwy 45. They are both nice and I don't think you can go wrong with either option.

Tux Info... (and the whole story)

Well... the Tux situation has been an adventure to say the least. Most of the places in Corinth don't stock the tuxes in house. You have to order them from a book or website. I am not real keen on that idea. I just wanted to try it on and see what everything looked like in person. So, in order to do that I went to a warehouse in Jackson a few weeks ago to try some on (the supplier for a place in Corinth). When I called back to the place in Corinth to tell them what I what I picked, they said, "We aren't doing tuxes anymore". So, after I about had a come-apart with the very rude lady on the phone... we started over at square one!

All that to say, today we found a wonderful place to get great tuxes at a really good price. They are the only place in Corinth that has them in house. We went and tried everything on and it was great! The two ladies there were VERY nice and helpful. And, the tuxes are a better quality and less expensive than the others I tried on.

So, if you are one of my groomsmen you need to get the following measurements from a local tux place:

Height, Chest, Overarm, Waist, Outseam, Neck Size, Sleeve, Shoe size

All tux shops measure for others for free. The nicer a place you go to the better chance they will measure correctly.

Then call B & J's Formals 662-287-3023
Talk to Demetra or Desire (Dez-a-ray). They are super sweet and helpful. You can pay for everything when you pick it up. I don't remember the exact total but I know it was about $95 total for everything.
